1941: When the Germans blitz Malta, Kitty Campbell must find the daughter she was forced to give up, before it’s too late. But only Kitty’s father knows where her child is and when he is killed, he leaves their family home to a mysterious stranger on the island…

 

As Kitty searches to find this stranger, she meets reconnaissance pilot, Bill Hamilton and joins Fighter Command in Valletta, plotting aircraft battles at the top-secret nerve centre of Malta’s defence.

 

But as invasion threatens, Kitty’s search for her little girl leads her into a web of secrets, romance and betrayal, until she is forced to choose between loyalty to her country and to her child…
